Waking up at work is an unusual way to start your day but must say it has been quite preductive!
After yesterdays shenanigans with all the snow I started work on editing together a little video Jonathon had recorded through the CCTV. There was about 8 hours of video footage to sift through but managed to get it down to under one minute. With sped up video footage Mad Max style.
Shit that’s a lot of snow
I awoke this morning to 2 foot of snow and a house with blocked drains! Not the best start to the day. I headed into the garden and proceeded to try and unblock the pipe work.
It took me and two very helpful neighbours who had also been snowed in over 6 hours to get the pipes unblocked. more…
Wintry Wintry Wales
It has been a cold first day here in North Wales with snow carried gales blasting at our windows.
Nothing seems to be settling too much at the moment. Which is good news as the weather girl predicted 30cms of snow!
After lots of searching unbelievably we could not find ONE pub within 30 miles of where we are living!! Ok slight exaggeration we did find a nice little pub called The Black Boy in Carnarfon which serves good food and beer. But it was still a car journey away! more…
The Lion the Witch and my Peugeot 306
So it currently 3am in the morning on the 29th December 2009. Me and some friends have travelled up to a little rented cottage in Snowdonia (North Wales) to see in the New Year.
It took us about 7 hours in total to get here including stop off for booze and KFC.
As we got closer to our destination the surrounding area proved itself to be just awesome. Cliffs topped with snow and ice covered lakes. It is almost like something out of one of the Narnia books. more…
