Miricle Mouse!
I hadn’t been home after Cornwall for long periods so like the plants I hadn’t seen the little mouse Percival I had saved for a little while. He needed a good clean out which doesn’t take me long now. At first when I got him out of the cage he used to bolt but now I put him in a warm towel by the cage as I clean it out.
By doing this he more or less falls asleep every time and remains very calm. Which is the main thing. Not what I need an injured wild mouse running around my bloody house! more…
Percival
I have now had Percival since the end of January. He has now fully recovered from his stroke. It took him weeks to be able to walk normally again. At the start he turned his whole body to move around and now he runs around like nothing happened. more…
The road to recovery
It has been just under three weeks now that I have been looking after little Percival the wild mouse.
I haven’t posted about him recently because I thought he would not survive the last week. His condition got progressively worse. Every day his eyes would get worse and I thought at one point that he would be permanently blind. more…
Look what the cat dragged in
Last night as I sat down for dinner with my girlfriend (takeaway curry) I found her cat with something pinned in the corner of the kitchen. After removing Beau (the mouse/bird hunting professional of a cat) from the room I found a tiny mouse in a rather bad state. more…
