Widemouth
Today we woke up rather hungover after a very heavy night in the local pub. This worried me a little as we had planned to go surfing today. I know what its like to go surfing while hungover. Not good.
We drove to Widemouth Bay next to Bude and spent the next couple of hours freezing our feet hands and scalps. But enjoying it at the same time. more…
Exploration
First day in Cornwall and there is no surf. Our farm cottage Sanctuary is awesome. We decided that we would explore some of the local sites.
I have been to all the towns and villages in the local area. My favourite village in Cornwall has always been Bosscastle. So I decided to take Steve and Krista there for the first time.
We walked to the top of the cliff at the top of the little port town. Bosscastle flooded in 2002 and a lot of the town was damaged and destroyed but it has been rebuilt by the local community.
Tomorrow there will be surfing.
The tough old task of driving to Cornwall
Im going to write my posts each day while away and post them as and when I can as I do not have any Internet connection in many places.
Me and Steve took the day off today to get ready for our few day trip to Cornwall. We ended spending most of it chilling and eating McDonalds and panicking when we had to leave but we got it done in the end. With boards on top and boot full to burst we set off!
Because the days are longer and the nights are coming later it was still light when we arrived. The little cottage we have rented is pretty awesome and is a mile walk from the nearest beach called Duckpool.
Really looking forward to getting out and having a surf now.
Designing an iPhone app
For the last couple of days I have been able to spend some time designing a website and branding for an iPhone app Fubra have invested in.
Leaving BBQ
Tonight we celebrated Dawids last week at Fubra by having a BBQ at the office. We chilled out for a couple of hours cooking burgers and Polish sausages.
It is nice to be able to relax with work collegues and have BBQs while stll at work. Dawid is our systems Admin and is moving back to Poland to live.
Hopefuuly he will keep in touch with everyone amt work. And all the best for the future.
